Capsaicin and Honey Bees
In response to several questions and online information, hot pepper (capsaicin) does not kill bees. Capsaicin as a spray seems to act like an insect repellant. Locked into a cylinder, however, capsaicin is not going to affect anything except for mammals attempting to eat it (which they won't after one taste!)
Acaricidal composition and use thereof in disinfesting treatments! (Treating mites in Honey Bees by using capsaicin. Acaricidal refers to mites.)
